Time for some Fresh Air!

Summer Brings "Fresh Air"

Camping, hiking, nature, picnics...

There's no better paper collection to capture summer memories than CTMH Fresh Air.
Join me the month of July for my tour of papercrafts created with this "fresh" collection. Some of my favorite features are the copper metallic accents on the Complements, the sayings on one of the paper designs, how beautifully the Mini Stapler and
Cricut "You Are Here" pairs with this collection.
First up is one of my own 2 page Scrapbook Layout Designs:
The triangle "word" pieces are a 10x10 cut on the diagonal.
Cut out a few of the words you prefer from your scraps, matte them on cardstock for stability, and then pop them with foam tape for some fun dimension.
Some of the Copper Accents are cut from bigger images of the Complements.
All pieces except Copper Complements are ink distressed.
The Mini Stapler is an awesome addition to this rustic layout. Staple away!

The copper triangle top left matte is cut from one of the larger Complements.
Triangle under "good therapy" also cut from larger Complement.
Notice the sayings that were cut from pieces of scrap paper, mounted on CS then popped.

*Tip on adding Sequins to your pages and cards. I always remove the small glue dot they come on with my Piercing Tool and attach them to my project instead with a dot of
Liquid Glass. I have found this to be well worth the time for much better adhesion over the long term.

Beautiful Friendship Stitched and Embossed Cards

Technique: Dry Emboss 4.25x5.5 White Daisy CS with Rose Embossing Folder
Using your Trimmer, cut out a triangle and fill that gap with scraps of Decorative Paper.
Trim off seams with 1/4 inch x 5.75 strips.
One of my favorite new tools in the Seasonal 2, 2018 catalog are Stitched Thin Cut Dies.
They come in nesting Circles, Hearts and Ovals. Ummm, one set of each for me please.
Beats the heck out of paper piercing, sewing, or faux sewing with my journaling pen.
Here is what each set looks like:
Such an easy and quick card producing stunning interest.
This card design is a CTMH featured card in the Seasonal Expression 2 catalog.
All I did was switch out the papers and dies.

Beautiful Friendship Sunburst Card

Sunburst Cards have always been on my to do list, and I finally created one using the Beautiful Friendship Paper Collection. Here is the easy Tutorial that I used:
The flowers and leaves are Cricut Flower Market (cosmo flower and violet leaves).
Here is a free and quick DS file for all of my lovely readers for your convenience:
*You must own Cricut Flower Market collection for this to work.
For my cartridge users: Cosmo is 1.89 high (round to 1.75 or 2) and leaves are 1.75.
I softly ink edge distressed all of the rays of sunshine using Linen Ink to give definition.
The Linen Cardstock bottom piece was sanded and edge distressed with my scissors to reveal the white core and give a shabby look.
The final technique is to cover the Love You sentiment on the front and You and Ever on the inside with Liquid Glass to give an enamel look. I love how it drew emphasis to these words.
The stamp set is one of Stacy Julian's designs: Colorful Texture.
Don't you just love the grammatically incorrect use I made of this set? LOL
I have the perfect few friends that this card would drive crazy, and I love it!
LOVE, LOVE this new stamp set. Product links and full supply list at end of post.

Beautiful Friendship Scrapbook Layout

The Idea Book from CTMHⓇ is a wonderful tool for layout and project
inspiration. The first page is from a retired Idea Book changed up with the new Stitched Dies: Circles and Hearts and the Rose Embossing Folder. It's nice to have a fast, easy layout so I incorporated a second Pocket Page. This gave me the chance to use the PML (pocket cards) included with every paper pack.
Other items used are the gorgeous Beautiful Friendship Suede Bows and Complements and some Gold Sequins. Full list of supplies with links at end of post.
A simple, soft inked edge distress technique was applied to all pieces using Pebble except the primary Sapphire photo matte on page one that I edge distressed using my scissors to reveal the white core of the cardstock.
I coated the back of a few stickers in the Complements with baby powder so I could then pop them on the page with Dimensional Foam.
Here is the Bundle, Beautiful Friendship Workshop Your Way, that I used:

Beautiful Friendship Collection

The Beautiful Friendship Paper Collection reminds me of blue jeans and lots of pretty pink flowers in a boho sort of way. What better way to celebrate friendships this summer than with a Swag Bag or Card Clutch in the form of a cute little Purse.

Swag Bag

Thank you to Julie Carriere for the inspiration and free Design Space file found here:
The finished bag measures 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 for the Artiste Cartridge owners.
You need to own Cricut Artiste, Artistry and Flower Market to make my version of the bag.
My free DS file link is below which adds both the layered Bashful Daisy and Ball Jar images.
The white flower center and jar "glass" are White Glitter Paper. The sentiments are Silver Foil Paper.  I used the Clear Shimmer Pen to cover the Bashful Daisy layers.

Card Clutch

The Second 3D Project made with Beautiful Friendship is this pretty and clever Card Clutch in the shape of a Purse. It holds four note cards and envelopes.
Dee Slater has a video on Splitcoast Stampers that can be found here: Card Clutch Tutorial
I added the handles which are Zip Strips from the tops of the Beautiful Friendship Papers studded with gold sequins and a bashful pearl in the center.

Check back often as I have MANY more fun projects on this paper collection and others coming to you all throughout the summer. Follow My Blog to be notified automatically.

Stamp Show Make & Take Sample

Snap, Sparkle, Shine

Syracuse Stamp Show Make & Take

Thank you to those of you joining Nichole and me for Friday night's Stamp Show Make & Take. An Artist Trading Card (ATC) is commonly used by artists and crafters as a calling card demonstrating a small piece of art/craft with the crafter's contact data on the reverse side.
ATC cards are 2.5 width x 3.5 height.
I chose the Polaroid Camera Frame and Camera (Snap) to highlight a few images from
Cricut(R) CTMH "You Are Here" Collection.
Bashful Glitter (Sparkle) and Silver Foil (Shine) Papers are also highlighted along with the new paper collection, Beautiful Friendship. All supplies are listed at the end of this post.
Both experienced and new crafters dry embossed and stamped.
I hope they had some fun with this project too.
This design was chosen to cover Scrapbookers, Cardmakers, and Papercrafters.
Below are the samples made with this cute little Polaroid ATC:

Mini Thank You Treats

Favor for a Roomie, Tablemate or as a Thank You

Who wouldn't love a little gift like this?

This little gift packs a big punch and was so easy.
I used two images from Cricut Flower Market Cartridge to create this super cute tag.
The jar has Vellum as the base layer and Lagoon Cardstock at the top layer.
One Layered Flower uses Raspberry and Black Cardstock. The other is one of our decorative papers. Add a few foam dots to the layers. Adhere to Mini Stamp with a glue dot.
I wrapped bakers twine under the Mini Stamp cover to tie on the Jar tag.
Super cute, easy, and inexpensive. Did you know CTMH mini stamps are only $2.95 each?
Here is the Design Space File for free:  Ball Jar Tag and Layered Flower Mini Stamp Favor File
For my Cartridge based Cricut users: the Jar image is 3.25 inches high and the
Layered Daisy image is 2.50 in height.
*You must own Cricut Flower Market to use the DS File.
 Product Links are below.
I hope you enjoy.

Final Chelsea Gardens PML Card

Ever feel the need to use EVERY SINGLE piece of a paper kit?

Maybe it's my OCD or my frugal mentality, but I couldn't stand having three PML cards left in the Chelsea Gardens Paper Kit. (see Post prior to this one) I challenged myself to use them up, and this is the card I came up with. I actually think I love this one the most. The watering can is fussy cut, covered in Liquid Glass, then popped on the card. Flowers and Butterfly were left pure black and white and add a nice pop to the card. Leaves are colored with Sweet Leaf and Juniper Inks with the Clear Shimmer Brush. Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking Stamp Set used.
If I could pick a BULK PML sheet, it would definitely be the Chelsea Gardens PML.
Seven beautiful cards x 2 PML sheets = 14 gorgeous cards with nothing leftover.
See my blog post prior to this one for the full collection.
Here are the three PML cards I created this card from:

HUGS In the Mail: Alphabet Dies

Put Your Investments To Work

Use up those PML (pocket) cards and bust out your valuable Alphabet Dies.

Today we will create some beautiful HUGS for a bit of Happy Mail.

Die Cuts are an investment well worth their weight considering how versatile they are. Pair them with those leftover PML (pocket) cards included in each paper pack, and you are a thrifty crafter after my own heart. Dies are on sale the month of March so grab them now if you want to add to your collection at 25-30% off.
One Chelsea Gardens PML sheet created these SIX beautiful, dimensional HUGS cards.
Why not make a set that says HUGS and another that says THANKS?
I used the Clear Shimmer Brush and a variety of Inks on images from Chelsea Gardens Scrapbooking Stamp Set to jazz up these cards. Squeeze your stamp pad lid into the pad. Open your Ink Pad using your Shimmer Brush to then pick up the ink on the LID as your palette.
I used plenty of Foam Dimensional Tape for most cards, but I also just "inlaid" some of the HUGS letters into the negative space of the 4x5.25 cutouts.
Here are the steps:
Assemble as shown:
Supplies: Inks: Pixie, Raspberry, Canary, Juniper, Sweet Leaf and Black Archival used to stamp all images to prevent bleeding from coloring.
Additional Cardstock Needed: 3 4x5.25 White Daisy to Emboss and
1 4.1x5.3 Glacier to undermount card 5 (with 3 butterflies on it).

Featured Supplies:

*Qualifies for Stamp of the Month at $5. Be sure to add it if you like it.

I want to credit and thank JennierMcGuireInk for her amazing YouTube Video inspiring this project.
Happy crafting everyone, send out some Happy Mail HUGS, and be sure to subscribe to my Newsletter and Blog for more Art Tutorials, Ideas and Inspiration.

February Love Note from Moose, CBO

Dear Girls,
February brings a month of love and my mommy's birthday. To celebrate these special occasions, I wanted to release some really great specials. I've been told there is no better way to a woman's heart than a great deal!  I hope you love them.

  • The first is the Pretty in Pink! sale for up to 30% off select Pink and Gold Items. Why they called it Petty in Pink! I don't know since Gold is in there too. But, oh well.
  • The second is that Clearance has been Updated! OMG there are tools on there like the Sanding Kit (I love chewing that!), Gems of all sorts of colors, Paper Kits!, Pocket Scrapbooking overlays, Twine, Jewelry, my mommy's favorite Shimmer Trim, Embossing Folders...  so much. Better get there now though for best selection. These items will go fast.
  • The Third is: Do you love me?   Circle Yes  or  NO
OK, I think that is it for now. Be sure to leave me a little love note back.
       Love,
       Moosie

Creations from Chelsea Gardens

Join me in a walk through Chelsea Gardens

I promise it will combat some winter blues. Lots of pics.

As a gardener and nature lover, it should be no surprise that my favorite paper collection in the Seasonal Idea Book for Jan.-April 2018 is Chelsea Gardens. It simply lifts my spirits during the winter when I start feeling the blues. This set of cards was created for my Retired Ladies Monthly Card Class and for the ladies that are attending my January Day Crop. The final project is a self-standing tea bag holder with a "seed packet" pocket in the front. I will use these gems as a favor at the each place setting for my Day Croppers. The pocket will contain a set of tags of which one will be the directions for them to recreate the tea holder themselves.
Materials used for each project is supplied below the pictures along with the links.
